Lenten Resources 2026

Here is a mix of personal and group resources for Lent, 2026

United Thank Offering Materials for Lent 2026: Gratitude and Reciprocity

This year’s Lenten materials focus on the themes presented in the book “The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World” by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Each week you’ll have a theme for reflection, gratitude, engagement, and self-care that helps ground your Lenten journey on giving thanks and giving back. Resources include:

  • A Lenten Book Group

  • Panel Discussion on Tuesday, March 24th, 9AM pacific

  • Materials for Adults and Congregations in English and Spanish

  • Printable resources for Children and Families in English and Spanish

Living Compass
Focusing on Christian wellness, Living Compass offers a daily devotional for Lent: Living Well Through Lent 2026: Cultivating Healing and Wholeness in Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind. The devotional is offered as a booklet for sale, a free download or daily email. A Leader’s guide is also available for download. There is also a new app available with lovely guided-meditations and other resources. Living Compass has a podcast available on most podcasting platforms.

Forward Movement
Lent Madness is a fun, engaging way for people to learn about the men and women comprising the Church’s Calendar of Saints.  Each day 2 saints and their stories are pitted against each other with an online vote determining the winner. The final winner is crowned with a “golden halo”. Forward Movement also publishes Join the Journey through Lent, 2026 – This large poster contains spiritual reflections for every day of Lent. Sold in packs to be given out in churches and faith communities.

Illustrated Ministry

This publisher offers resources for all ages – from curriculum to worship resources. This year’s Lenten theme is The Work of Imagination – “Lent begins in the ache—in wilderness, weariness, longing, and lament. It asks us not to look away from the mess we’re living through, but to imagine boldly what could be instead.”

Building Faith

This is the best site for resources, articles, and formation strategies for all ages in the Episcopal Church. Check out their Lenten Resources for help for Shrove Tuesday to Easter Sunday and beyond.

UNBOUND – The Intersection of Faith and Justice

This timely, justice-driven publisher from the Presbyterian Church is offering a Lenten resource for those on the front lines. The Tomb is Empty but the Streets are Full: An Activist Lenten Devotional will be available on February 4th.

Vibrant Church Communications

Vibrant Church Communications offers 3 different Lenten programs for purchase that explore spiritual practices, scripture, prayers, and meditations that can be used individually, with groups, or prepared as take-home kits for congregations.
