Youth & Children’s Ministry

Youth Ministry Summit

Saturday, September 13, 2025
Santiago St. James, Oakland.
From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Let’s build a youth ministry network in the diocese of california.

All folks who work with, care about, or minister to and with youth are invited to join us for a full day with Lyle Griner, director of Peer Ministry, who will lead us in a one-day planning and visioning experience.

Together, we will:

  • Create a balanced, one-year ministry framework. (for congregations, deaneries, and the diocese)

  • Explore key faith formation lenses.

  • Dive into practical planning tools and templates.

  • Take better care of ourselves and each other..

  • Build a culture of leadership development.

  • Commit to time-saving practices.

  • Develop a more effective and efficient ministry.

Leave energized, equipped, and inspired—with a plan in hand, ahead of the game, and a heart full of meaning and purpose for your ministry.

Bring as many adults (or high school students interested in leadership) as you can.

Each participant will receive a copy of the Plan-It guide and (if you register by August 31) a copy of the book “Youth Are Either Leading or Leaving”.

Cost is $20/person to cover food and supplies. Scholarships are available - email carenm@diocal.org
